Course equivalencies from certain schools that students commonly transfer from can be found at TAURUS. Courses not listed in TAURUS may also be reviewed by UB School of Nursing faculty for equivalency.

Nursing Coursework
The ABS curriculum is based on appropriate modifications to the Basic BS program and the ABS prerequisites are also adjusted to reflect the student's maturity and ability to transfer learning to another discipline. Note that all prerequisites must be completed before beginning the program in May. The academic requirements of the ABS program includes 59-60 total credits within a strict, 12-month timeframe.
Since Accelerated BS students have already met the requirements for and have received undergraduate and possibly graduate degrees, they will take some graduate level nursing coursework. These courses will assist students in gaining a level of knowledge within a particular substantive area, while adding graduate credit to their transcript for future application toward a graduate nursing degree.
