"There are several reasons I chose to research and teach at UB SON -- the leadership recognizes the importance of diversity of thought and experiences throughout the tripartite mission of academia. In addition, I personally have a research trajectory in the Indigenous health arena and the proximity to Canadian populations allows me to continue my Fulbright work across the North American context. I hope to have a hand in moving forward issues surrounding diversity at the school and health disparities in patient populations."
