ADVANCED CERTIFICATE PROGRAMS

Introduction  

Widely used throughout higher education, advanced (graduate) certificate programs are designed for individuals with a particular interest in a specialty area which may not require a full degree program. The UB School of Nursing offers 2 like programs:


Advanced Certificate in Nursing Education
Designed as a post-master’s program, this program p repares nurses as educators in both the academic and healthcare arenas, and provides an excellent foundation in nursing knowledge, leadership and research skills, and adult educational theory and strategies.

 

Advanced Certificate in Medical / Health Informatics
Offered with the School of Informatics and School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, this program p repares professionals to work in information related positions in health care, health sciences research, or education settings, and have the ability to evaluate, manage, and develop a wide range of informatics projects, which use technology tools and organizing principles from communication and library studies to serve the public in the organizing and provision of health care.
