Greetings! We are delighted that you are
interested in the University at Buffalo School of Nursing. In coming to
the School of Nursing, students become part of a community of scholars
committed to the highest ideals of caring nursing practice. In coming
to UB, students become part of a first-class research university with
the advantages of interdisciplinary riches found in five
health-sciences schools, as well as seven other professional schools
and the traditional arts and sciences. Nursing faculty work
collaboratively with colleagues in many other areas of the university;
they are dedicated to learning with and from students, publish and
present their research in national forums, and maintain active
practices. The shorthand statement of our mission is "preparing the
nurse leaders of tomorrow in an atmosphere of excellence." We look
