Why nursing?

I have always wanted to become a nurse practitioner and I am loving the nursing profession so far. The feeling you get from helping someone is better than any other feeling in the world.

Why UB?

I hope to attend University at Buffalo School of Nursing's DNP program after finishing up the bachelor’s program, so I figured it was best to come to UB as soon as possible. Also, their reputation in the medical field is second to none. I am incredibly excited to be a part of the UB community.

Areas of Interest

I am most interested in critical and trauma care. I’ve been told I work well under pressure and I really enjoyed shadowing in a trauma care unit.

Activities and Accolades

I was a member of Phi Theta Kappa and president of the student government at Trocaire. I also volunteer as a palliative care doula and with a local church. I enjoy playing with my dogs and volleyball.

What's Next

I hope to work at ECMC as a medical surgical nurse while pursuing a DNP.
