As we approach the academic year, we are excited to be addressing our Nursing academic strategic plan that fits into an ambitious University vision that is now well known as “UB 20-20”. This plan is assertively addressing the critical state of nursing and specifically nursing education and its obvious impact on a societal health care challenge. Addressing the "tough issues" of expanding the size of our school and create greater opportunities for future nurses, to necessary space and facility issues, will involve a broad partnership with the State of New York, SUNY, along with our faculty, staff, alumni, and the many friends of UB nursing.”
In brief, this is a challenging time, but at the same moment it is an exciting time and incredible opportunity for the Nursing profession. I thank so many of you for your interest and involvement, and encourage you all to stay tuned, and read the UB nursing newsletters that will no doubt contain much positive news as our vision for “UB nursing 20-20” continue to unfold.
On behalf of our Dean and faculty I thank all those who have contributed and or volunteered in some way, and encourage our alumni to help us in any way you are able to continue our important work in “preparing the nursing leaders of tomorrow within an atmosphere of excellence.”
