"Working at UB has raised my appreciation of the impact of a great foundational education on the overall quality of healthcare globally and in my community. In particular, the UB SON is dynamic!  In the 15 years that I have been here, I have watched the program develop, evaluate and improve every year to meet the goal of educating competent, compassionate nurses. We build on foundational information, viewing with fresh eyes in an ever changing environment. I love the overall feeling of learning as much from the students as they learn from me.

"My personal goal in my interactions with students is to create for them a forum for active learning, making learning ‘up front and personal.' Integrating undergraduate teaching assistants into my classes has created a wonderful mentorship opportunity for students to practice collaboration, communication and an appreciation for diversity."
