I develop statistical methodologies to deal with statistical questions and issues arising from collaborative research so that these methodologies can be implemented in statistical software.

Chin-Shang Li has published extensively throughout his professional career. In addition to collaborations with many health science and medical researchers from an array of institutions and organizations, Li also has extensive editorial experience. He is editor-in-chief for three peer-reviewed journals: International Journal of Statistics and Probability; Current Research in Biostatistics; and Biostatistics and Metrics. He is also an editorial board member for several other academic journals. 

Prior to the University at Buffalo, Li was a professor in the Division of Biostatistics, Department of Public Health Sciences, at the University of California Davis School of Medicine. His main responsibilities in this role included research, teaching and provision of statistical support of clinical trials, as well as grant submissions and statistical analysis in several areas. These include, but are not limited to, anesthesiology and pain medicine; biomedical engineering; breast cancer; dermatology; nuclear medicine; obstetrics and gynecology; pediatrics; pharmacy; psychiatry and behavioral sciences; and veterinary surgical and radiological sciences.
