Area of Interest

I am most interested in addiction medicine due to the high rates of opioids and other substance abuse issues in the country.

Professional Goals

After I finish the DNP program, I will be prepared to teach both in clinical and academic settings about mental health. A doctoral degree will prepare me to utilize the best evidence-based practice system to accomplish the goal of reintegrating and rehabilitating people with treatable mental health illness. I also would like to explore technologies that embrace efficiency to oversee patient satisfaction to achieve the highest proficiency level in the delivery of complex care.

Financial struggle and fear of accumulating additional unsubsidized student loans can be a limitation for the majority of students with the intent of advancing their education. This scholarship award will assist me in completing the DNP program without any financial constraint or need to postpone my studies.
