Why UBSON?

UB School of Nursing has a great reputation throughout the community as one of the top programs for pursing advanced education. The DNP program provides a more in-depth and comprehensive education in order for me to become the best clinician I can be.

Areas of Interest

I am interested in learning about safe and effective delivery of anesthesia for the most complex patients. I enjoy learning how each medication impacts a patient's overall health and gaining knowledge to improve patient outcomes.

Professional Goals

A professional goal of mine is to utilize my DNP degree to become a professor and educate future CRNAs. I also hope to find a topic of research that will improve the way anesthesia is delivered to make it more cost-effective and safer for all patients.

Grateful

I knew seeking further education was going to be stressful; however, the Schomburg Fellowship has provided me with a level of support to mitigate the financial burden of school. I am grateful to be honored with a scholarship that provides financial relief in order for me to focus on my academic studies and become a more knowledgeable provider.
