Why nursing?

I have always had an interest in science and a passion for caring for others. Prior to nursing school, I was a patient care associate at Albany Medical Center on the cardiac intensive care unit. While I was there, I decided that it was the place for me and pursued a nursing degree. With a nursing degree, you can accomplish so many different things. Once you have that license, opportunities arise and the possibilities are endless.

Why UB?

The University at Buffalo School of Nursing is a highly regarded nursing program that offers an online learning environment. The flexibility of a completely online program is exactly what I was looking for to be able to advance my education while maintaining full-time employment.

Areas of Interest

I currently work in the critical care setting on a cardiac intensive care unit, and I love the complexity, acuity and non-uniformity of the unit.

Activities and Accolades

I enjoy my free time by spending it with family and friends, working out and traveling.

What's Next

After completing my bachelor's degree program, I plan to continue my education and enroll in a nurse pracitioner program.
