UBSON was among six schools awarded this scholarship for displaying a commitment to nursing education and their students, faculty, staff and community through service and excellence.

June Rowe-Hill, ABS student starting summer 2019, has been selected for the 2018 Esther Elliott Martin Scholarship from Portage Learning. UBSON was among six schools awarded this scholarship for displaying a commitment to nursing education and their students, faculty, staff and community through service and excellence.

The scholarship is for non-traditional nursing students and awarded under the school’s discretion. Rowe-Hill was selected by UBSON for this $2,000 scholarship as she has demonstrated a commitment to her education and the nursing field.

“Through our interactions with the University [at] Buffalo, and in the nomination you provided, we are honored to recognize the University [at] Buffalo as a school with an outstanding purpose in the field of nursing and health education,” says Kenneth E. Hartman, president of NursingABC/Portage Learning.
