Misol Kwon, PhD, RN is a nurse scientist whose program of research advances sleep and circadian science to improve cardiovascular health in cancer survivorship. Her work investigates how multidimensional sleep health and circadian rhythm disruption influence cardiovascular outcomes, with a particular emphasis on 24-hour blood pressure regulation and related risk pathways in breast cancer survivors. Guided by an intervention-focused approach, she develops and tests scalable behavioral strategies that target sleep and circadian mechanisms to support long-term survivorship health.
Before joining UB, Kwon completed a T32 postdoctoral research fellowship (2023–2025) at the University of Pennsylvania’s Chronobiology and Sleep Institute. She currently serves as one of the nurse scientist mentors in the K12 Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center/University at Buffalo Oncology Nurse Scientist Training Program.
