I have always liked the sciences and knew thatI wanted to become a pediatricianor a psychiatrist. Therefore, when the opportunity came up, I knew I had to go back to what I have always loved.
The University at Buffalo is very prestigious, and getting my bachelor's in nursing in one year is a steal. UB has a reputable name, and trust me, and you work hard for your grades, which makes you even appreciate it more. As the saying goes, "Anything that comes easily goes away easily."
I have always been interested in pediatrics because of my love for kids. On the other hand, I am also interested in mental health. When I look around and see what is going on in the world today, I cannot help but say that mental health is real. I want to know the reasons people make the decisions that they take.
I had my first degree in physics and graduated with honors. I was also on the president's list for having a 4.0 GPA in my final year's first semester. Recently, I volunteered at the Million HeartsĀ® and even at Roswell Cancer Institute (pediatrics).
I plan to apply for the DNP early assurance program at the University at Buffalo to further my education in mental health. I also want to volunteer some more and give back to my community.
This scholarship will go a long way in helping me cut back on work and focus more on my schoolwork, which is the utmost priority for me. I am very grateful for this scholarship, and I want to use this medium to thank the donor.
