I chose UBSON because I knew it would be the best place to challenge me and push me out of my comfort zone. UBSON offers a lot of exciting opportunities that interest me and prepare me to be the best nurse.

My interest area mainly resides in cardiac intensive care. While taking my prerequisites, I fell in love with the cardiac system. Nursing school allowed me to explore my interest, which solidified my passion and understanding for cardiology.

I plan on working in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), where I can gain experience in intensive care and take on leadership roles to become the best nurse I can be.

I plan to impact lives by advocating for patients during some of their most vulnerable moments, offering emotional support to patients and their families, and helping them navigate complex health challenges.

With this scholarship, I will be able to reduce the amount of loans I take out, and I can cover the remaining balance of my bill for the semester. This is meaningful to me as it takes the financial burden off the shoulders of my family and me. This allows me to fully focus and excel in school while being the best student I can be.
