Undergraduate Advisement - Frequently Asked Questions

Academic advising plays a central role in your success at the University at Buffalo School of Nursing. Whether you’re enrolled in the traditional BS in Nursing, the accelerated BS in Nursing or the RN to BS program, the Office of Student Services is here to help you stay on track and make informed decisions about your education.

To support you along the way, our advisors have compiled answers to the most frequently asked questions about advisement. Use this guide to plan ahead, avoid common pitfalls and move toward graduation with confidence.

How do I meet with a nursing advisor?

Individual appointments are available daily and can be scheduled through Navigate

Nursing Advising also offers drop-in hours and group advising sessions on a semesterly basis. Please check the “Advisement – Intended Nursing Majors” UB Learns course for more information. 

What is my enrollment date for next semester?

You can view your enrollment date in your HUB Student Center under the “Manage Classes” tile. Enrollment takes place at 7 a.m. on your date. 

Where can I find my GPA?

Both your overall and prerequisite GPAs can be found in your Academic Advising Report in the HUB Student Center. They are located under the “Nursing B.S. Acceptance Critera” header. 

Where can I find how many credits I’ve completed?

Your total credits are located in your Academic Advising Report in your HUB Student Center. They can be found under the “University Unit Requirements for Graduation” heading. 

Did UB receive my AP credits or my credits from another college or university?

Review your transfer credit report in the HUB Student Center to make sure all your credits are listed. 

Where can I see my pathways classes?

You can view your previously selected pathways courses in the Path Finder tool.

You must still register for the classes in the HUB Student Center in future semesters.

Is tutoring available?

Yes. Sign up for individual tutoring appointments in Navigate.
