Congratulations on receiving an interview for UB School of Nursing's PhD Program! Please use this page to have a better understanding of the rest of the PhD application process and to answer common questions you may have.
In the near future, two faculty members will reach out to you to schedule your interviews.
You will meet with two of our PhD faculty members before being reviewed by the PhD committee. Each faculty member will have a conversation with you about the program and your goals for applying to our PhD program. The interviews will take place individually and last roughly 60 minutes. All interviews will take place via Zoom. Please remember that your interview will take place during Eastern Standard Time.
Once both interviews are complete, your application will be reviewed by our PhD Admission Committee. Based on your application and interview, the committee will send you an admission decision. Your admission decision will be delivered to you via the application portal where you uploaded your documents.
Admissions decisions are made on a rolling basis. Once the committee reviews an applicant, we will release your admission decision within five business days.
The Fall 2022 semester begins on August 29.
There are a number of funding opportunities for students. Some awards will be given during the admission process, and others will be available after. We encourage students to actively search for scholarships through the UB Office of Fellowship and Scholarship and outside sources.
