UB School of Nursing Scholarships

The UB School of Nursing awards more than $180,000 in scholarships to admitted/approved undergraduate nursing students. The scholarship application is incorporated into the NursingCAS application.

Helene Fuld Trust Fellowship

  • Eligibility: Full-time ABS students and part-time RN to BS students
  • Award: Merit
  • Range $6,000 - $10,000

The University at Buffalo, School of Nursing is a proud recipient of Helene Fuld Health Trust funds. With these funds, the Undergraduate Program Committee has created a three-year fellowship program to be implemented for the 2017 application cycle for May 2018 admits. In year three, the program will be evaluated to determine success and possible extension pending funding.

Eligible applicants will be those applying for the Accelerated Second Degree Baccalaureate Program and the RN to BS Program. Chosen students will receive a nearly 50 percent program discount in the form of a scholarship award applied directly to their UB student account toward their bill.

The intention of this program is to financially support students in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in nursing while encouraging student growth outside of the classroom and creating a positive impact on the community. All fellows will be required to positively contribute to the UB School of Nursing and/or the community by doing a minimum of 45 hours of volunteer work.
