Established by Dr. Carolyn Farrell (PhD ’14, MS ’84, BS ’71), the Dr. Carolyn and Judge Mark Farrell Fund for Genetics in Healthcare supports graduate nursing and health care professional students integrating genetics and genomics into their clinical practice, scientific research or educational programs..
This fund aims to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation at the intersection of genetics and healthcare. Students awarded funding must collaborate with a program or department at the University at Buffalo (UB) that is engaged in genetics-related healthcare initiatives. The collaboration must include a member/resource with genetics expertise, such as in the MS in Genetic Counseling Program in the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.
