The NURSE program provides students the opportunity to train with a faculty member’s research team. Students collaborate with faculty mentors on research projects, aligning the needs of the research team with students’ interests and abilities. Students’ exposure to high-caliber research in the NURSE program both assists students in determining whether an academic path in nursing is right for them and better positions those students to pursue an academic nursing degree. Students will also attend seminars with UB’s Medical School summer program.

The NURSE program runs from June 6, 2016 – August 13, 2016, culminating in a poster presentation on September 13, 2016. Students are also provided with a $2,500 award.

Applications are due March 21, 2016. Applicants will be notified of the status of their application on April 4, 2016.
