Ryan Stehlin, a registered nurse and clinical laboratory technologist studying to become an FNP in UB’s DNP program, travelled to Accra, Ghana, alongside other UB students and faculty in 2023. Read more about their trip.
This interdisciplinary program will give you the opportunity to collaborate with UB students with different backgrounds and passions than your own. Health care-focused students can use their skills to make an impact through the program's medical track, and all students will be inspired by working with children at local schools.
The Africa program includes a credit-bearing, virtual learning experience and an optional in-person trip.
The required virtual component features visits to socially minded organizations, cultural activities, networking with alumni and local leaders, and a team project.
