Meet: Emily Rossiter, MS, RN, WHNP, CNM

"Because the School of Nursing put me in different areas of WNY for clinical, I was able to expand my professional circle.  I worked with people in the city and in the suburbs, so I have met many people along the way.

"My final clinical placement was at Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo on the Labor and Delivery unit.  I never knew that this was going to be the start of my career.  I had a great preceptor who showed so much passion for this type of nursing it helped me to fall in love with labor and delivery.  I ended up getting a job as a new grad on the unit. From there, I decided to go back to school to become a women's health nurse practitioner.  After that, I went back to school and became a nurse midwife. This one six-week experience shaped my career."
