Dear UB SON Community,

We recognize the traumatic impact that the armed conflict in Ukraine can have on our School of Nursing and University community members. We offer our support to those affected, particularly those from Eastern Europe, those who have been affected by war in the past, and those affiliated with the military.

If you need support or a safe space to talk, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your faculty members and advisors. Students may also reach out directly to UB Counseling Services at 716-645-2720 (ask to speak to a crisis counselor). Employees can seek assistance at 716-645-4461 or through the Employee Assistance website.

We understand that situations involving warfare are unique, complex and evolving. Please know that we will continue to be here for you throughout this difficult time.

-Marsha L. Lewis, PhD, RN, FAAN and the UB SON JEDI Committee
