Dr. James Cozza is a dual board-certified nurse practitioner in family and emergency medicine with over twenty years of clinical experience in Western New York. His background spans emergency, critical care, and flight medicine, including frontline service during the COVID-19 pandemic, providing urgent home care.

As a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator and Simulation Coordinator, Dr. Cozza leads simulation initiatives that advance diagnostic reasoning and clinical judgment using AI-enhanced technology aligned with INACSL Standards of Best Practice. He has precepted over 100 medical providers and continues to mentor future clinicians through immersive, evidence-based learning.

His scholarly interests include global healthcare delivery, diagnostic reasoning development, and the integration of artificial intelligence into simulation-based education, reflecting his commitment to compassionate care, mentorship, and educational innovation.
