At the School of Nursing, we are committed to fostering an environment that supports all individuals and values justice, equity, diversity and inclusion. These elements are fundamental to our core values of integrity, collaboration, accountability, respect for diverse backgrounds and opinions, and excellence.
As nurses who pledge to provide care for all human beings, we must take a stand against the structural and systemic racism that is ingrained in every aspect of our society. We seek to provide students, faculty and staff with the awareness, knowledge and skills to be effective and culturally competent individuals within their profession and within their communities.
But we cannot do this work alone.
Contributions to the School of Nursing’s Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Fund will sponsor guest speakers, workshops, consultants, professional development and other programmatic initiatives that promote justice, equity, diversity and inclusion within our school and the nursing profession.
